SDEN2 is an excellent starting point for beginners venturing into the world of wine. This course centers around the book “I know more about wine” and introduces you to essential grape varieties, major wine regions, and fundamental winemaking techniques.

Five evenings, start: January 6th, 2025

Classroom lessons at Proef bij Platenburg in Rotterdam
Monday from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm at the latest
An average of eight wines per class evening

What does SDEN2 look like?

SDEN2 consists of five evening classes from 19:30h till 22:30h.

Can I catch up a missed class?

In theory yes, but there is a maximum number of people in terms of space and wine and we don’t offer English classes regularly (yet). You can always send a substitute, though.

Is the official exam included?

No, experience shows that not everyone wants to do that. That’s why we have chosen to offer the course without an official exam. You can request this yourself from the Wijnacademie or the Wine Institute. Please note; the official paper is not necessary to participate in SDEN3.
